We always read the “Christmas Story” out of the Bible. We love to snack around and visit while Dad reads from the Bible every year.

My favorite Christmas Eve tradition started when I was a little kid. We lived less than a mile from my paternal grandparents and on Christmas Eve we went to Mass because my Catholic school participated. After mass it was off to Grandma’s for home made dinner with all the trimming & homemade Christmas cookies for dessert. After dinner we got a visit from Santa & then opened gifts. It was so much fun waiting for Santa & we were lucky to have a new addition to the grandkids when the rest of us had outgrown him, it brought the wonder of a young child back to Christmas. My grandparents have passed & each family has their own traditions but Christmas eve at Grandma & Grandpa’s will always be my favorite Christmas Eve tradition.
